A Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) can cause tremors by damaging the specific brain regions that coordinate movement - primarily the cerebellum, basal ganglia, or thalamus.

Think of these areas as the brain's "control centers" for smooth motion. When an injury disrupts the neural pathways connecting them, the signals sent to your muscles become "glitchy" or poorly timed. This lack of coordination results in the involuntary, rhythmic shaking we recognize as a tremor. These symptoms can appear immediately or even months after the initial injury as the brain attempts to rewire itself.
