Sciatica

Sciatica is pain that travels along the sciatic nerve, typically radiating from the lower back through the buttocks and down each leg. It is a symptom of an underlying issue—most commonly a herniated disk or bone spur—rather than a disease itself. Symptoms often include sharp, electric-like shocks, numbness, or tingling, usually affecting only one side of the body.

Neuro-acupuncture is the central nervous system CNS) treatment that targets both the sensory and motor areas of the brain that govern the implicated lower limb. Electroacupuncture (EA) from the bottock to lower leg is added as a peripheral nervous system (PNS) treatment. They reinforce each other and create a powerful and effective intervention for sciatica.
