Pediatric Acupuncture

“Amazing experience! Neuro-acupuncture helped my daughter tremendously. Very knowledgeable and caring doctor who knows and understands neuro-acupuncture. Also experienced in working with kids. I was scared at first to bring my daughter for acupuncture but he comforted her and her acupuncture experience was as good as it gets. My daughter’s headaches and seizures improved tremendously. Highly recommend to anyone!”

Lok-Kwan is highly comfortable and experienced in working with children. The youngest child he worked with was an eight-month old infant. He treated him for undescended testicles and it was a successful intervention.

Pediatric acupuncture is a safe, evidence-based therapy that treats children as unique patients rather than "miniature adults". Because a child’s biological systems and "qi" (energy) develop rapidly, they often respond more quickly to stimulation than adults.

While traditional needles are often used, pediatric care for the very young frequently employs non-invasive techniques like tui na and qi gong, manual techniques that are totally non-innvasive. Aromatherapy and laser acupuncture are other therapeutic options in Lok-Kwan”s clinic.

Pediatric acupuncture is effective for managing chronic pain, nausea, asthma, and ADHD, while neuro-acupuncture may significantly improve motor function and balance in children with cerebral palsy. Pediatric sessions are typically much shorter (1–20 minutes) than adult treatments. Because the benefits are cumulative, multiple sessions are often required to achieve long-term improvement in chronic conditions.
